When I Grow Up

Driving in the car is always a treat. Addison talks constantly and Henry (as of late) has oooooed and aaaaahhhhed over trucks, planes, trains, and motorcycles that go by. He also throws in the silly giggles and delightfully loud "heys," usually his way of telling me he wants my cell phone. Anyway, the noise is constant in the car. No need for the radio. I love it.
Today, as we were driving along, Addison began talking about "when she gets big."
"I can do anything I want, right mom?" "Yes, anything you want." "Then I want to be an ice cream truck driver," she states proudly. "Wow, that would be a fun job," I say. "Yeah, then I can also be a farmer. I would grow vegetables and have animals and let the kids come and see all my animals."

"House"

As I sit and write this, Addison has her best little girlfriend over, Meara. We have known Meara since the day she was born (actually, I think we visited her the day after she was born), but the girls have been friends since birth. Right now they are playing house. Addison is the daddy, Meara the mommy. Addison keeps speaking in a low voice, which is pretty funny. The funniest part is that Henry keeps trying to play with the girls, following them around like a lost puppy. The girls are super annoyed with him and keep telling him to "go away." Poor little guy. He has never been the pesky little brother, but I think he has officially arrived to this stage.
Revenge has officially begun. Look out Addison!!!

Broken Leg

Addison broke her leg about a month ago. I haven't written about it because I haven't really gotten a chance to. She has been out of the cast for a week now, which is amazing because she was only in for three weeks (thank God!). I must admit, that hot pink cast with signatures over the entire thing was pretty cute. The day she got it off she said, "I'm really going to miss all the pictures people drew."
She was so brave and is doing really well. It is amazing how resilient children can be.

Naughty Show

We refer to t.v. shows that we don't want Addison to watch as "naughty shows." The list includes things such as, Sponge Bob, The Simpsons, and any evening shows. With that said, the other night Andy was putting her down to bed and she asked him, "Daddy, are you going to watch your naughty shows after I go to bed?"

Blogging

I have had a hard time deciding whether or not to blog anymore. I originally started this blog to jot down memories of my children, since I'm not much of a scrabooker and all. I must admit, I am getting super blogged out. I'm not really writing this blog for an audience anyway, so I think I will continue writing the day-to-day things that I want to remember about my sweet babies.

Itsy bitsy spider

On our way home from the zoo today (pictures to be posted soon), I heard Henry trying to sing something in the back seat. I turned around and watched him do the entire itsy bitsy spider motions. I didn't even know he knew that song!
My little guy is getting so big!

"Crap"

She did it. She finally repeated a word that I in no way want my two-year old saying.
We were getting ready to leave and Andy couldn't find something. So our sweet, polite little Addison said, "oh crap."
We told her it wasn't a nice word to say and to please not say that again.
Today, her and I were upstairs and I heard her whisper, "oh crap." Again, I reminded her that was a naughty word. To which she responded, "I know mommy. That's why I whispered it."
